Make up date is intended to accommodate the
players that cannot attend on Saturday. Please attend on Saturday if
possible. |

Who:
All properly registered baseball and softball players Little League
Age 9 and older players, and players age 8 who receive player agent
permission to try up, are required to
attend the player evaluation tryout sessions.
NOTE: Little League age is age as of as of 7/31/2004
The tryout/player evaluation event is also
an open registration opportunity for all
un-registered players at ALL levels. |

What: The player evaluation process allows each player to play with
players of |
|
similar development thus giving all players the very best
chance to learn and improve.
These are not tryouts in the sense that a child may or may not, based on
his or her ability, be chosen to play for the Redmond West Little League. In
fact, any child meeting the age and districting requirements will be allowed
to play ball.
The tryouts give the coaching staffs a chance to evaluate all players'
strengths and areas for development. This allows each player to be placed at
a level with players of similar development. This is not a method of sorting
the "best" players from the others; this is simply a method to
ensure that each player will play at a level for which he/she is best suited
at this time, giving all players the very best chance to continue to learn
and improve skills without frustration. It is the desire and goal of the
RWLL to treat all players fairly and equally, and to maximize the learning
potential and enjoyment of each and every player.
